The company also distributes Internet Security applications to protect users from viruses and hacker attacks.

On December 19, 2006 the company in collaboration with the HomePlug Applications Company Arkados announced the eventual release of the HomePlug audio product to the computer market. The product carrying the name dLAN Audio Extender will make its debut in early 2007 and is based on the reference design provided by Arkados combined with the technical expertise from Devolo.

This product allows for the distribution of audio data via the use of conventional household electrical wiring systems. The product supports the streaming of audio data from the computer systems to hi-fi component or loud speaker systems. The product has the size of an ordinary power plug.

Being a specialist in the home-networking solutions industry, the company used this technology to develop and market the very successful dLAN product line. This product series includes analog and ISDN modem adapters, powerful ADSL2+ modems and routers, and various products based on the dLAN technology.

This technology focuses on two large areas of concern, the simple networking of large corporate areas and the integration of dLAN technology id various network compatible equipments.

The dLAN comes in dLAN 200 AVpro basic, AVpro2, AVpro host, and AVpro WP variants. This groundbreaking technology effectively eliminates tedious cabling procedures that are normally associated with the creation of network environments.

With this technology, the dLAN device is plugged into an ordinary electrical socket. The device has a corresponding port which can be used to connect the computer system.
