independent OEM supplier located in India. The company was conceptualized in 1986 and is now a subsidiary of a company called Apcom.
It is managed by its Board of Directors, Mr. Ashok Mirza, Mr. Deepak Mirza and Mr. Veejay Dahwan.
The company’s IT expertise goes back as far as 1971. with employees having formerly worked for IBM. After the dissolution of IBM’s India operations in 1978, Dax Network was very well into Information Technology Consultancy and Projects.
Before starting its IT manufacturing in 1986, the company initiated the utilization of drives for cartridge tapes in their locale. For years they were regarded as “The Backup People.” The company saw an opportunity in 1988 to diversify into Networking.
Towards the end of 1990, Dax became an emerging LAN-products distributor in India. By 1992, The Company set a standard in India via their Hubs and NICs and Dax LAN products.
The company, in 1999, showcased SOHO + HOme (SOHOHO) Internet relevant products from modems to other Internet and networking products. Today,
the Company is ISO 9001-2001 certified for VPN, Wireless, Enterprise Switches & Routers and Structured Cabling. They differ in the capability to support and certify a complete structured Routing & Switching network that can inter operate. It is the leading enterprise systems compliant in any WAN, LAN, MAN Network.
Dax presents the widest range of MAN/LAN/WAN Networking products and has been awarded numerous accolades. They were awarded A Top-5 Switch Vendor (with Dlink, Cisco, 3Com & Nortel) for four consecutive years. It also received the Top Five Networking Vendor award.
Dax held the number one spot for 5 straight years in the Indian Networking Brand, awarded by IT Nation. It belonged to the Top-3 Router Vendor for 4 consecutive years. The other two spots were filled by Cisco and Juniper. And finally, it was a preferred provider to Cisco, Nortel & Juniper in most government bodies.
Dax progressed and added new networking product lines. In 1992, it started engineering products from leading technology manufacturing companies such as Perle for Data Acquisition & Device Management Solutions, and in 1994 Eicon for WAN & ISDN products and other Technology Companies.
